The 5/8-inch thickness and unique features of Artisan® siding provide a precise fit and finish as well as the freedom to miter corners for attractive, streamlined styling. Alternatively, complement Artisan siding with thick Artisan® trim to create an elegant look.
Boards have 0.625" thickness and are 12' long. Boards have 5-1/4" | 7-1/4" | 8-1/4" | 10-1/4" width and actual exposure is 4" | 6" | 7" | 9", therefore 1-1/4" goes under the next boards. Each boards coverage equals 12' times actual exposure.
JamesHardie Artisan Siding available primed for paint. DO NOT use stain, oil/alkyd based paint, or powder coating on James Hardie Products. Factory-primed James Hardie Products must be painted within 180 days of installation. 100% acrylic topcoats are recommended. Do not paint when wet. For application rates refer to paint manufacturer’s specifications. Back-rolling is recommended if the paint is sprayed.

CARE & MAINTENANCE
As a guide, it is recommended that normal maintenance tasks shall include but not be limited to:
- Washing down the exterior surfaces every 6 to 12 months with a garden hose or low pressure water spray to remove dirt and debris.(Refer to your paint manufacturer for washing and recoating recommendations.)
- Re-applying of exterior finishes.(Refer to your paint manufacturer for washing and recoating recommendations.)
- Maintaining the exterior envelope and connections including joints, penetrations, flashings, and sealants (caulking) that may provide a means of moisture entry beyond the exterior cladding.
- Cleaning out gutters, blocked pipes, and overflows as required.
- Pruning back vegetation that is touching the building.
- Clearance between the siding and shrubs is recommended.
- Ensuring required external ground clearances and drainage slopes are maintained.
