Fortress AL13 Post Anchor Base Plate used to attach Fortress AL13 Home and AL13 Plus posts to deck surface and substructure. Post Anchor Base Plate allows you to sandwich your deck boards and blocking together for a steady installation that will keep your railing in place for years.
4.75" post anchor base plate for use with 2"
5.75" post anchor base plate for use with 3"
Fortress Posts must always be secured to the deck framing and should never be attached to the deck boards only.
- Post Base Plate holes MUST be positioned a minimum 1/2" [13mm] from edge of deck board.
- Use only 3/8" [10mm] Hex Head Galvanized Bolts. Lag Screws should NOT be used. Secure each post with four bolts.
