Fortress AL13 Home 2"x2" Posts with pre-attached brackets provide ease of installation, simplified ordering and consistent quality. Fortress Over-The-Post and Proud Post options offer ultimate flexibility, with many top rail finishing choices. Fortress posts come with base cover included in the kit. Post cap is not included in the kit and needs to be purchased separately.
Use Blank posts whenever you need to reach other than 90 degree angle by attaching angle brakets.
2" posts with pre-attached brackets can only be used for Over-The-Post applications. 2" Blank Post can be used for Over-the-post and Proud post applications. For Proud Post applications you should buy 3" posts.
- 36" posts will result 36" height railing with over the post application
- 42" posts will result 42" height railing with over the post application
- 42" blank post can also be used for 36" height Proud post applications
- 51" blank post can also be used for 42" and 48" height Proud post applications

Fortress Posts must always be secured to the deck framing and should never be attached to the deck boards only.
